Wispfire Lantern is a tool you can find while exploring the map of Hollow Knight: Silksong. It’s a strong tool with a passive that continuously summons fireballs that automatically track enemies to hit them. The only downside to equipping the Wispfire Lantern is its heavy Silk consumption, which limits the amount of hooks you can use during exploration. Here’s everything you need to know about the Wispfire Lantern tool in Silksong, including where to find it.
Wispfire Lantern Location In Silksong
You can find the Wispfire Lantern in the Wisp Thicket area in Silksong. It’s a tiny area that exists to connect Underworks with Greymoor. That way, Hornet doesn’t need to travel through Blasted Steps when she needs to make it into Underworks or Choral Chambers.
It’s not easy to find the Wispfire Lantern inside the Wisp Thicket area, as it’s hidden above Greymoor in Silksong. It’s more like a hidden area on top of a hidden area. To find Wisp Thicket, travel to Greymoor and climb the tower above the Halfway Home Inn. After that, head left into an area filled with balloons, in between the two towers in Greymoor.
When you reach there, look for a hidden passage in the ceiling, then move inside, looking for a small wooden staircase in its corner. It’s barely visible because of the darkness inside the passage.
Once you make it inside Wisp Thicket, look for a bench so you won’t have to repeat the entire run if Hornet falls. The bench is available immediately to the right, after entering the Wisp Thicket area.
To find the Wispfire Lantern inside the Wisp Thicket area, keep going west until you reach a dead end. A boss will appear there, called Father of the Flame. Defeat it, and you’ll get the Wispfire Lantern in Silksong. This boss doesn’t move but has four Lanterns around it, shooting Hornet with fireballs. You need to jump and attack those Lanterns to stop the boss from summoning fireballs and to end the first phase.
For the second phase, a big furnace will appear on the boss’s chest, and it will greatly increase the number of fireballs it can summon. Just like the first phase, attack the furnace on the boss’s chest to destroy it and defeat the Father of the Flame.
