Xbox Game Pass is Losing 6 Games on July 15
Description
Microsoft has confirmed that a total of six games will be leaving its popular subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, on July 15. Although the service is gearing up to release a ton of new games and in-game benefits throughout the course of the month, some heavy hitting titles, such as Mafia: Definitive Edition and The Callisto Protocol, are now confirmed to be leaving Xbox Game Pass in a little over two weeks, so fans should act fast if they want to check these games out before they’re gone.
Subscription services have become all the rage in gaming in recent years. What started out as a way to receive access to additional games via the likes of PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass has now transformed into additional in-game benefits, with services such as Rockstar Games’ GTA+ or Epic Games’ Fortnite Crew Pack growing increasingly more popular. The former of the two not only gives subscribers benefits in Grand Theft Auto Online with extra in-game currency and early access to new vehicles, but also allows fans to check out various other Rockstar Games titles, such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully, L.A Noire, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and many more.

The Xbox Game Pass subscription service is on an incredible run, but one has to wonder if this is the peak of the service.
While competition in the subscription service space continues to grow, Xbox Game Pass still remains a popular choice for gamers, largely due to its many day-one releases and incredible titles. However, new games may be added to the service regularly, but many are also removed. With the recent announcement of new games coming to Game Pass this month, Microsoft has also revealed that a total of six games will be leaving on July 15. These titles are Flock, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Magical Delicacy, Tchia, The Callisto Protocol, and The Case of the Golden Idol. All six games are currently available via the Cloud, Console, and PC versions of Xbox Game Pass, but will be completely removed from all three in just two weeks.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving July 15
- Flock (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Mafia: Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Magical Delicacy (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Tchia (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- The Callisto Protocol (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- The Case of the Golden Idol (Cloud, Console, and PC)
All six of these titles are worth checking out, but undoubtedly the biggest game out of the bunch is Mafia: Definitive Edition. With Mafia: The Old Country having officially gone gold last month, now is the perfect time to check out the game that started it all before the next installment is released on August 8. The 2020 remake of this iconic title was built from the ground up with brand-new assets and an even deeper story than the original 2002 game. New settings also bring Mafia in line with more modern releases, as various gameplay mechanics have been altered to match 2016’s Mafia 3.
News of these games’ impending removal is sure to disappoint subscribers, but Microsoft did lessen the blow and added two highly rated titles to Xbox Game Pass today, July 1. Both Little Nightmares 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider are now available via Game Pass Standard, Ultimate, and PC. And if that wasn’t enough, there are plenty more titles on the way throughout the rest of July.
